Reclaimed wood flooring and beams
Experience the beauty of reclaimed wood flooring milled to a 3/4" thickness with center matched tongue and groove. Thicknesses of 1/2" to 2" are also available. Floor planks are milled carefully to enhance the natural beauty of aged wood. Nail holes, knots, and century-old saw marks characterize authenticity of these reclaimed products. Wood species include Heart Pine, Antique Chestnut, Black Walnut, Vintage and Antique Oak. We can also help you locate specialty woods.

Salvaged beams and timber from structures built in the 1700s-1800s are enchanting reclaimed wood accents. Three carefully milled surface options expose rich patina and the unique wood characteristics that have taken centuries to evolve. Milled surface options include… Old Surface which retains the original surface texture and color created by nature. Hand-Hewn which retains the original axe marks made to square the beam from the cut tree. Re-Sawn which is milled to remove the old surface and expose rich wood grain.

FSC Certified
Better Living Millshop has been providing millwork services since 1893. Our company is concerned with preserving and improving our environment. We support using lumber and building products that have been harvested and produced in compliance to FSC principles for forest stewardship. Better Living Millwork has implemented a FSC product groups control system according to the Forest Stewardship Council certification system at our facility located at 371 Better Living Drive, Troy, Virginia. FSC certification issued October 15, 2012 is valid through October 14, 2017 for activities concerning distribution and manufacture of doors, stairs, and millwork using FSC materials and components.
