Coronavirus (COVID19) Updates

To Our Valued Customers;

We are clearly in an unusual and uncharted period in our country’s history. That said, the commitment of our team members has never been stronger.  At Better Living, we are committed to doing everything that we can to meet the needs of our customers and communities – especially in difficult times like these.  Due to the spread of COVID-19, our new normal is changing daily and we are continually adapting our business solutions and our operations as a result.

All of our locations will remain open, and we are here and available to help you. As part of being able to serve you safely to to ensure business continuity, we want to make you aware of some additional changes and precautionary changes we are making to protect all who visit our locations.

Visiting The Stores

Change of Saturday Hours

Better Living will be closed on Saturdays, effective immediately, until further notice.

Effective Wednesday, March 25th no customers, vendors or visitors are permitted in the store.

  • The following are ways to place your order:
    • By Phone (434)-973-4333 or (434)-591-2200
    • By Email (call one of the numbers above for a salesman’s email)
    • Walk up windows at both locations. They will be located at the back of the building and will be clearly marked with signs that say “Place Orders Here”
  • There are sales windows that have been set up for the building supply at each location.  Customers can work through the window to place orders and get showroom supplies that they purchase.  There are three windows at Berkmar and two at Troy.  Yard employees are retrieving the pickup paperwork from the windows as well.  This reduction in face-to-face traffic should help ensure appropriate action to maintain the safety of our employees and customers.
  • Note that we will not be accepting returned packaged merchandise from the yard, or ANY merchandise from inside of the store until we return to normal business operations. It is the CUSTOMER’S RESPONSIBILITY to store and protect any merchandise that you plan on returning.  Merchandise that is damaged or muddy will not receive credit.  We have been fairly lenient in the past, but this rule will be strictly enforced.

Given the accelerated rate of change that this pandemic has brought, we, like you, find ourselves having to adapt continuously. Know that we are working together as a team in managing this change, and don’t hesitate to call on us for support or to answer any questions you may have.

As always, please continue to take precautions, using sanitizer and washing hands frequently and maintaining social distancing.

Sincerely,

~Better Living Building Supply
